I am a local West Tennessee educator who loves God and life! My first book signing was February 19, at my hometown library. The paper reported it was the largest ever held at the library.

After researching agents and e-publishers, I thought it would be in my best interest to self-publish. Self-publishing allowed me to have more control and more of the profit.

I've learned that the only draw back to self-publishing is marketing. In order to make money, I must constantly promote, but overall I would tell anyone interested in becoming a published author to go for it!

"Are you an Eagle Trapped in a Chicken Coop?" is about escaping an environment much smaller than your dreams. Finding and using your gift for God is the greatest asset in your possession. It's not where we take our talents, it's where our talents takes us. I was inspired to write this book after hearing a friend's cry of being over or under qualified for jobs she had applied for in a small town. My spirit leaped when I heard her say, "She felt closed in." Immediately, a title was born. My book will and has caused my readers to wake up their childhood dreams.
